My name is Dwight Radford. I’m a professional genealogist residing in Salt Lake City. One of my passions is researching and writing about Irish genealogy. Many people forget how complicated Irish research can really be once you dive into it. Yet, Irish can be some of the most exciting genealogy in your family tree. Over the last 25 years of research, I’ve come across some fascinating tid-bits, and I’ve often wondered how many other people find similar gems.
Because of the unique history of both Ireland and Northern Ireland, a legacy of leaving was created. From a family history perspective, I’ve had the chance to look for family members who went to just about anywhere in the world. Then I come across those strange and odd Irish entries in new databases for South America, Central Europe and Scandinavia. I both marvel and wonder what the Irish were doing there.
My blog will share those things which I have discovered, lectured on and written about over the years. I welcome your comments and feel welcome to share your own discoveries. This blog will provide helpful links, articles, and advice.
